Mutation Event teased — first major update

The official Discord game-announcements channel teases an upcoming MUTATION EVENT ("Notify yourself for the upcoming MUTATION EVENT"), and gameplay YouTuber YaphetPlays states the developers' first mutation update lands Sunday, September 6. No official details published yet — expect fish mutations with value multipliers based on similar Roblox games. This page updates the moment it drops.

Anti-cheat livestream — "banning hackers"

steak runs a "banning hackers" livestream, banning cheaters live while players report exploiters in the official Discord general channel. The leaderboard (Most Fishes Caught) and economy remain under active enforcement. A 10,000 Robux bounty for the first working duplication glitch report (with video evidence) remains open since launch.

Official launch — 8-player servers go public

Fishing Wars goes public after a launch stream. Online count climbs from 33 testers to roughly 7,900 concurrent players within hours (announced live: 1,000 → 1,400 → 7,000 → 7,900). The same day the team posts an anti-teaming rule (teaming to target a player = kick), an anti-bullying system for new players, the 10K Robux dupe-glitch bounty, and reclaims the discord.gg/fishingwars vanity invite after a scam server stole it.

Roblox place created

The Fishing Wars universe is created on Roblox (universe 10761586925), one week before public launch. A teaser image drops in the official Discord leaks channel on August 26.
